Do you rent out mats?
We have rental mats at the studio for students to borrow. The rental mats are located behind the check-in desk and are distributed by instructors. The rental fee is $2.00 per rental, and quantities are limited. Mat rental is free for members.
Are children permitted in class?
Children ages 12-16 are welcome to participate in any regularly-scheduled studio classes with an accompanying adult. The adult must sign the studio's wavier for the child and take class with the child. Please use discretion when bringing children to class, and keep the studio's norms in mind, out of respect for your Kula.
What should I bring to class?
Bring a mat, towel, and water to class. Kula does not sell packaged water, though we have a water bottle-filling station to help keep you hydrated.
How early does the studio open before class begins?
The studio opens twenty minutes before the start of each class.
What if I'm running late for a class or event?
The door to the upstairs studios is locked at the start of class time. Late entry to class is not permitted.
What is the studio's cancellation policy?
We have two small studio spaces, so class sizes are very limited. Sign up online before class to guarantee you'll have a spot. If you need to cancel, do so at least 3 hours before the start of class time. If you cancel within the 3-hour cancellation window, the system will auto-charge your card a $7 early-cancellation fee. If you sign up for class and arrive too late to be admitted or simply do not show up, a $14 late-cancel fee will be auto-charged to your card on file.
All students, including members and 30-day pass holders, are held accountable to the studio cancellation policy.
If there are no students preregistered for class thirty minutes before the start time, the class will be cancelled and removed from the schedule.
Can I leave class early?
It is highly disruptive to everyone in class when students leaves class early, especially considering the size of our studios. Please be considerate of your fellow yogis, and come prepared to remain for the entire class.
Can I keep my phone with me during class?
Both yoga studios are phone-free zones. No exceptions are made to allow phones inside. Please disconnect from your electronics while you are in class. If you are on-call or expecting an important communication, we still ask that your phone remains outside the studio space. Plan accordingly.
Where should I park?
How do I cancel my month-to-month membership?
As detailed in the contract terms, seven days notice before your auto-charge date must be given to ensure membership cancellation. All cancellation notices must be given via email to email@example.com.
Can I get a refund or credit on events and/or workshops I've registered for?
An account credit in the full amount of the workshop or event price can be issued for cancellations when we are given at least 48 hours notice before the start time of the workshop or event. If less than 48 hours notice is given, no account credit will be issued.
How do you choose where your Outreach Flow donations go?
We donate the funds generated from Outreach Flow each month to local organizations and nonprofits whose values and missions align with our own. If you have an idea for an Outreach Flow partnership, contact us here. Kula has partnered with The Humane Society of West Michigan for Outreach Flow from August through December 2018.
Can I teach yoga at Kula?
Kula Yoga instructors have all graduated from the Megan Rader Yoga Power Vinyasa School of Yoga. If you are a certified yoga teacher and would like to offer a workshop, event, or series of classes, please contact Megan to discuss.
