December 2026 Session
Training objectives: (1) To impart an experiential understanding of the Restorative Yoga style. (2) To teach trainees how to plan and lead impactful Restorative Yoga classes in one-on-one, small group, and studio settings.
What to expect: Over two immersive weekends, learn to define and discern what qualifies as “rest,” both on and off the yoga mat. Experience true rest in your body, and develop the skills necessary to facilitate Restorative Yoga classes as a space holder and guide. Build classic restorative poses with several prop set-ups and discuss how to (1) adjust props according to students’ needs, (2) read angles in the body, (3) create new poses, (4) craft complete Restorative Yoga experiences for students
Topics covered will include restorative poses, restful transitions, nervous system anatomy, hands-on assists, prop application, using music in class, holding space for transformation, and more. Trainees will have time to demonstrate their developed teaching skills and receive detailed feedback from teachers and peers.
Participants will graduate with 30+ hours of in-person training and experience. After completion of the training, graduates will be certified Restorative Yoga Teachers and will receive a signed certificate of completion.
