Fall 2026 Session
Training objectives: (1) To cultivate understanding of the Yin Yoga style. (2) To discern between the Yin and Yang way of life in modern society. (3) To teach trainees how to plan and lead impactful Yin Yoga classes in one-on-one, small group, and studio settings.
What to expect: Explore the “other side” of your yoga practice during a five-week immersion into Yin. Differentiate between Yin and Yang energies in your body, cultivate subtle energetic awareness, and develop the skills necessary to facilitate Yin Yoga classes as a highly skilled instructor. You’ll learn classic Yin postures and discuss how to (1) offer and adjust props according to students’ needs, (2) guide students through their practice using the three Tattvas of Yin, (3) navigate sensations, physical stress, injury, and pain (4) craft complete Yin Yoga experiences for students.
Topics covered will include Yin poses and counterposes, intelligent transitions and movement breaks, Meridians and the energetic body, hands-on assists, prop application, using music in class, holding space for transformation and release, working with gravity and creep, and more. Trainees will have time to demonstrate their developed teaching skills and receive detailed feedback from teachers and peers.
Participants will graduate with 45+ hours of in-person training and experience. Upon completion of the training, graduates will be certified Yin Yoga Teachers and will receive a signed certificate of completion.
