Do you rent out mats?
We have black rental mats at the studio for students to borrow. The rental mats are located in the prop closet. There is no rental fee, though quantities are limited.
Are children permitted in class?
Children ages 12-16 are welcome to participate in any regularly-scheduled studio classes with an accompanying adult. The adult must sign the studio's wavier for the child and take class with the child. Please use discretion when bringing children to class, and keep the studio's norms in mind.
What should I bring to class?
Bring a mat, towel, and water to class.
How early does the studio open before class begins?
The studio opens fifteen minutes before the start of each class. If the "Do not disturb" sign is hanging outside when you arrive for class, please be respectful of the current class and wait patiently for the door to be opened by the instructor.
What if I'm running late for a class or event?
The studio remains unlocked for the first five minutes of classes and events, with the exception of Buti Yoga classes. After five minutes, the "Do not disturb" sign is hung outside, and the door is locked. Be considerate of the students and teacher and refrain from knocking and looking in the windows when you arrive late to the studio. When Buti Yoga classes are scheduled, the door is locked at the start time of class.
Can I leave class early?
Kula Yoga is a small, one-room studio. It would be highly disruptive to everyone in class if students were able to leave the studio early. Please be considerate of your fellow yogis, and come prepared to remain for the entire class.
Can I park in the lot at the studio's entrance?
The parking spots outside the studio are clearly marked and do not belong to Kula Yoga. Street and garage parking are encouraged.
When is the studio moving to the new location?
The studio will be moving from its current Heartside location to our new East Hills home in the early months of 2018. Stay tuned for updates and news.

Can I teach yoga at Kula?
Kula Yoga instructors have all graduated from the Megan Rader Yoga Power Vinyasa Teacher Training. If you are a certified yoga teacher and would like to offer a workshop, event, or series of classes, please contact Megan to discuss. If you're interested in joining the team as a regular instructor, visit the teacher training page for information on upcoming trainings.
Can I get a refund or credit on events and/or workshops I've registered for?
We understand that things come up and plans change. Full refunds can be issued for cancellations when we are given at least 24 hours notice before the start time of the workshop or event. If less than 24 hours notice is given, no refund or credit will be issued.
